MONKEY PRESSO was founded in 2005 after the Transrepro Visual Group (2001-2005).
MP started to make their own animations, graphics and video-loops and these works give them a unique, special character.
Monkey Presso during their 2 years have already worked with all kind of music groups from minimal
through pop to jazz, as Dave Tipper, Tiesto, Loco Dice, Fischerspooner, Modeselector, Freestylers, Dub Pistols and more. In December 2005, they led and took part in the first Hungarian VJ-DVD, based on the novel of Hungarian writer Frigyes Karinthy. They asked seven Hungarian visual teams to join to this project and the result was convincing.
Monkey Presso is the official visual team of Hairy Records from 2006, Goulash Exotica from 2007 and do
the official band visual for Realistic Crew from 2007.
MP has made commercial works so far for Coca-Cola, Bacardi, Smirnoff, Nike, Diageo, etc.
There is also a new bootleg set project with fine selection of Hungarian movies. Premier was in Melkweg, Amsterdam, 2007.
Now, renamed mr.monkeypresso is working on an A/V live-act with Moog Conspiracy (Elektrotribe), media art projects with Collegium Hungaricum, Berlin, concert visuals for Rotfront Sound Sistema.
In the last 2years MP has started to work on A/V projects and Net-Vjing, so as to develope his own live vj
enviroment including generative visuals.
